RAJ SAROYA

Raj Saroya is a Mumbai-based visual artist working across photography, constructed imagery, and experimental cinema. His practice investigates how images behave in time — using layered exposure, density, and stillness to examine the perceptual weight of urban environments and open landscapes. His ongoing series Accelerated Cities compresses the temporal logic of the Indian city into single image planes. India-Qatsi, his feature-length experimental film, reinterprets Godfrey Reggio's Qatsi trilogy through India's technological acceleration, using AI workflows as both production tool and thematic subject. He holds a BA (Hons) in Photography from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
